Current Research Findings - Prognosis

Prognosis refers to the likely future functioning of an individual who has a specific condition. In autistic disorders it can mean whether language delay influences future academic success, or whether the ability to readily acquire social communication skills bodes well for a person’s success in the work world. We look at long-term studies that have followed the same individuals over time to see what actually happened to them, rather than studies that are based on theory or opinion.
