Lonnie Zwaigenbaum completed his clinical fellowship training in developmental pediatrics at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, and a research fellowship in the genetic epidemiology of autism McMaster University in Hamilton and McGill University in Montreal. He holds a Masters of Science in Health Research Methodology from McMaster University. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at McMaster University, and is currently the medical director of the Hamilton-Niagara Regional Early Autism Initiative, as well as the McMaster Children’s Hospital Cleft Lip and Palate Team. Special interests and research work include early detection of autism spectrum disorders and in the genetics of autism spectrum disorders.
