Research Studies - Why participate?

In medical and other interventions there is a strong need for good evidence of  effectiveness and safety. To collect this evidence it is necessary to conduct high quality research. Willing and well-informed participants are needed because without them new discoveries about ASDs cannot be made.

You may want to consider that participation:

  • gives your child and your family the opportunity to receive the newest treatments;
  • provides high quality care and access to testing for your child that would otherwise be very costly or even unavailable to you;
  • gives you access to researchers and staff who can quickly answer any questions you may have;
  • helps others by aiding in the discovery of new or better treatments.

Safeguards are built into all research projects  to ensure your child’s care, safety, and anonymity.
